I Guess Kevin Garnett Can't Handle Losing Like A Loser

KG'antics are well known. He's a goon. Your classic school yard bully who usually messes with the smaller guys in fear of getting his clock cleaned. At least the guy can play though.

Knicks Beat Celtics To Give Us A Clutch Holiday Treat

So this is how the Knicks greeted us back to basketball.

Yeah. That's right, it's an expensive as hell HD-3D projector being displayed across MSG's entire floor.
Ballin!

Giants Win New York's Christmas Eve Battle!

"They were the better team today, and they're the better team this year. Clearly, I was wrong."
-Rex Ryan after loss

The short of the story? The New York Jets were embarrassed by the New York Giants Saturday afternoon to the tune of 29-14.

Trash Talk 12.23.11

We're deep in winter now, but the Knicks, Jets and Giants are turning up the heat in the city and there are plenty of stories right now but I'm a bit juvenile and relish the trash talk. The Knicks have a new attitude and are looking to contend for a championship as soon as the season starts on Christmas meanwhile the Jets and Giants battle for New York's football crown as well as for playoff aspirations this Saturday.

With all this going on, it's only natural for a bit of chippiness to set in and so I present to you choice cuts of the juiciest trash talk this week.

Knicks Wrap Up Pre Season By Handling Nets

The Knicks and Nets faced off in both of their pre season games and the Knicks won both games pretty much in control the whole time winning the first of the two game series 92-83 and the second Wednesday 88-82. It didn't help that the Nets let my main man Renaldo Balkman look like Reggie Miller hitting fade away threes in that first game, scoring 20 points. It also won't help that in the second game Brook Lopez broke his foot and no one knows yet how long he'll be out. Both teams played sloppy as expected from the pre season.

Mark Sanchez Is Probably Huddling Up With Kate Upton Now

Damn you Mark Sanchez. Somehow you just keep winning. It never looks pretty but you do, and now this. The infamous page six reports an alleged relationship brewing between the Jets QB and victoria secret lingere model and all around hot piece Kate Upton. By the time this kid's playing career is finished his penis would have been bronzed and put on a pedestal for commoners to worship and pray to.

Jets & Giants Meet Saturday After Ruining Last Weekend For Us

If you are a fan of NY football then it was hard to watch the NFL last weekend as New York's two teams tried to out stink themselves against their opponents. The Giants looked outmatch by a 5-9 Redskin team that looked in control of the Giants throughout the whole game. Giants first round pick Prince Amukamara was exposed during the game which led to him being called out by teammate Antrelle Rolle. When asked what the problem was on defense Rolle responded:

“Then that’s just Prince getting beat...There weren’t any breakdowns.”

The Mets Are Reeeeaally Trying To Make Some Money Here

The Mets have this really really annoying habit of losing and letting me down, so when the NY Times ran  a story about the team being sold I wasn't surprised they were only minority shares of ownership. I was also unsurprised at the lame list of perks included such as access to Mr Met....in exchange for a small fee of 20 mil. Who wouldn't make that investment!?

Jets And Giants Looking Pretty Good Going Into Playoff Stretch

Two important and crucial wins for NY football took place this past Sunday, with the NY Jets destroying the Chiefs and the  NY Giants pulling out a come from behind...pause...win against the Cowboys. Both were very crucial wins for each  respective team as a loss would have dramatically diminished either team's chances at a playoff spot.

Hey There Tyson Chandler, How Ya Doing?

Satryday or what I like to call "Saturday" when I can type properly, the New York Knicks and the New York media welcomed Tyson Chandler to the team and he was introduced via this presser which you can watch here thanks to knicksnow.com

It's Been A Craaaaazy Week For The NBA. Today Was Even Crazier

Tyson Chandler does this kinda stuff, is tall, & now a Knick.

As soon as the NBA lockout ended the talk began. It was being reported through various news outlets that Chris Paul via proxy had told the now NBA owned and controlled Hornets that he would not sign an extension and that he wanted to be traded most preferably to the New York Knicks.

Sure enough the Knicks were hungry for a huge serving of Chris Paul only, New Orleans would be damned before they gave him up to us for belly button lint.

The Carmelo Anthony trade left the cupboard empty for the Knicks. All the top market teams are seemingly in a high stakes arms race and this set the stage for the madness that ensued this week.

No Way Jose!

I think the Mets should have went with my plan and photographed a dead hooker that's been planted in his hotel room to use as "leverage" during "negotiations". Also If you haven't realized, I like "quotation marks".

The Jets And Giants Are Both 6-5...Now What?

The Giants just got there hides handed to them Monday night by New Orleans in a 24-49 loss which can only be described as well choreographed sodomy. The Jets overcame Sanchez's lust for keeping things interesting by winning there week 12 play date with the Bills with a 28-24 win. Sanchez managed to keep himself from being impaled by fans by moving past his terrible, terrible interception and going on to toss 4 TD's(a career high).

The NBA Is Back

Reports came in Saturday that the NBA looks like it's back in effect. It sounds as if basketball related income will be about a 50-50 split and that was enough to give fans a 66 game season starting Christmas day if what's reported is true. It's like a gift unto the world! I don't know how this plays on owners and players on an individual level but I'm willing to bet that one side remains filthy rich and the other still disguistingly rich. Just guessing.

In other news the blinged out chrome rim industry expects record profits for 2012.

Jets Looking Better At 4-3 Following Victory Over Chargers

So the Jets pulled out a convincing win over the San Diego Chargers Sunday winning 27-21.
In the victory the Jets played what had to be the best all around game of the season.

Mike Francesca Still Hasn't Got The Hang Of This "Interview" Concept

I don't know if anyone respects or likes the job Mike Francesa does within his craft. I don't know too many football fans who do. Not too may basketball or baseball fans either. Just as well. Seems the players also can't stand this air head either as demonstrated by Darelle Revis when he hangs up on him mid interview after being badgered about an "iffy" call from Sundays Jets-Dolphins match up.

Jets And Giants Come Away With Week 6 Wins

So both New York teams walk away with a victory this past week. We'll start with the Jets first because this game was much easier to analyze.

Giants Piss Me Off By Losing To Seahawks

So after four weeks of counting out the Giants against quality opponents and having them win, I pick a healthier retooled Giants to win against a crumby Seattle team. In case you didn't realize from the picture to the left, that didn't turn out to well for me.

Eli Manning embraced his inner Tony Romo and threw three picks, one of which went for the winning touchdown. Victor Cruz played well again...so there's always that.

The only explanation I can fathom is that the G-Men took the Seahawks a little too lightly and figured it'd be an easy win(which it should have been). In the end Seattle made more plays and just looked like they wanted it more beating NY 36-25. Next on the sched...yea, I call the schedule "the sched"....next on the sched is the very hot Bills at 4-1, who can't seem to stop lighting up scoreboards. The Giants are going to have to take them serious or be in for a rude awakening on Sunday.

Jets Lose To Pats And Derrick Mason Gets Traded

Derrick Mason lasted 5 weeks in a Jets uniform. Mason was acquired under very short notice in a very short off season, in an effort to replace the production of Jerricho Cotchery but things didn't really pan out like that, not that Cotchery is doing much better himself.

Jets & Giants Headed Into NFL Week 5

Sooo, where were we? Oh. The Giants despite being cursed by the blair witch and sustaining numerous injuries have fought and clawed their way to a 3-1 record thus far. How the hell did they do it? Beats the hell outta me, all I know is that it looks like they're proving they still have the mettle that made them champions in the first place.

Meanwhile the Jets got some work to do. 2-2 is not the end of the world but losing two straight, playing a very sloppy game like the one in Baltimore, AND not having the running game on track signals a rough road ahead especially when you consider a 3-1 Patriot team is playing host in week five.

Jets/Giants Week 2 Look Ahead

The Giants need to get healthy and the guys who are healthy need to play better. Eli isn't a "great" QB but he is very good...he just can't do it alone.

The New NFL For The 2011-2012 Season

As previously mentioned, the dust has settled during a pretty ugly NFL lockout and we now are knee deep with a weekend's worth of action to discuss. But what's new with the NFL? What did that whole lockout accomplish? What changes did it bring about? What about new game play rules? Ride with me as I attempt to give you some of the highlights.

Football Back, SSNY Back...NBA, What's Your Problem?

Good to be back folks...or folk. Whatever, don't bust my balls. Anyhow, my little hiatus is done & there are major sports to talk about so here I am. After worrying all summer if we would have football because of a very tense labor situation, Football came back to us as well, with the only major casualty being a shortened pre-season. No one really cared too much about that though. Week one just wrapped up and we'll have a rundown on the Jets & Giants up tomorrow, with a breakdown of week two games coming up this weekend to follow. I also aim to decode some of the ridiculous crap that found it's way into this new labor agreement the owners and players were fighting over, so I'll probably be a little busy. Maybe I'll even pretend I'm important and where my top hat as I write. I dunno, we'll leave it open for debate. As you noticed in the header, the NBA still can't get their stuff together. I guess I'll just have to "investigate" the matter.
