The Jets And Giants Are Both 6-5...Now What?

The Giants just got there hides handed to them Monday night by New Orleans in a 24-49 loss which can only be described as well choreographed sodomy. The Jets overcame Sanchez's lust for keeping things interesting by winning there week 12 play date with the Bills with a 28-24 win. Sanchez managed to keep himself from being impaled by fans by moving past his terrible, terrible interception and going on to toss 4 TD's(a career high).

The two teams are both in second place within their respective divisions with five games left to play. The Giants have the tougher road ahead having to face first place Dallas twice and Green Bay next week. Given the way the G Men's defense held up Monday, Coughlin may want to call Benson and Stabler in advance prior to hurt Aaron Rodgers is about to put on that ass.

I anticipate both teams going 3-2 the rest of the way for an identical 9-7 record. Will that be enough for the playoffs? Could be. I mean 10 wins would be better right? But sometimes it aint in the cards. Despite the tougher competition remaining for Eli and co. I think they have a better shot at snatching that wild card spot for themselves than do the Jets. Only because the Lions and Bears both have critical injuries at skill positions that could play out well for the Giants purposes. Meanwhile the Bengals nor the Steelers look like they are gonna give up too much ground in the coming weeks.

Let's hope for the best and hopefully things will pan out, but it'll take a lot of work for these two teams to sniff contention at this point.
