Jets Looking Better At 4-3 Following Victory Over Chargers

So the Jets pulled out a convincing win over the San Diego Chargers Sunday winning 27-21.
In the victory the Jets played what had to be the best all around game of the season.
Gang Green managed to contain the duo of Tolbert and Matthews to a combined total of 126 yards on both the ground and air. Nothing came easy with the longest run coming from Tolbert for a five yarder. All of this is encouraging considering the Jets run defense has been gouged several times throughout the season so far.

All in all, this was the most solid showing for the Jets with each phase of the team clicking on all cylinders. Joe McKnight continued to provide great starting field position, on offense there was a balanced attack on which Shonn Greene saw 20 carries for 112 yards and Sanchez threw 3 TD's in the red zone to one Plaxico Burress to give NY the edge. As mentioned previously the defense held tough and did not let the Chargers ground game break loose and at the same time held San Diego's two 6'5" starting receivers to a combined three catches for 51 yards. The lone passing score was caught by Antonio Gates who braved a foot injury to participate in the game action.
The Jets next play the Bills who are no longer push overs despite having a number of key injuries including one to starting nose tackle Kyle Williams and several wide outs, in fact it's rumored that half back CJ spiller who had 5 receptions lined up in the slot his last game will be making another appearance at receiver.

It's another critical game for the Jets as the Bills are one up on them in the standings. Hopefully they can live up to expectations and grind out a win because Buffalo is an obstacle they can't ignore or avoid this year.
