Jets & Giants Meet Saturday After Ruining Last Weekend For Us

If you are a fan of NY football then it was hard to watch the NFL last weekend as New York's two teams tried to out stink themselves against their opponents. The Giants looked outmatch by a 5-9 Redskin team that looked in control of the Giants throughout the whole game. Giants first round pick Prince Amukamara was exposed during the game which led to him being called out by teammate Antrelle Rolle. When asked what the problem was on defense Rolle responded:

“Then that’s just Prince getting beat...There weren’t any breakdowns.”

Not the kinda stuff you want to hear about your first round number one pick. In all fairness though, it's not as if Rex Grossman amassed 400+ yards on Prince for the day. Prince played bad but it could have been worse, Grossman didn't have any huge career day and there were plenty other holes in the Giant's D which led to the 23-10 loss.

The Jets meanwhile decided to let the Eagles violate them to a tune of  45-19. Yeah. (*caution nsfw link ahead...haha get it? a. head. )Basically they sucked harder than Bibi Jones (link nsfw). Sanchez was abused. ABUSED. Jason Babin went wild on him beating RT Wayne Hunter (seems to be a pattern of this) to push his sacks total to a whopping 18, three of which were collected this game. Aside from the QB abuse, WR Santonio Holmes had two turnovers which eventually led to points and Shady McCoy was just to fast for em; ruushing for 3 TD's and 103 yards.

This sets the stage for a Christmas Eve battle for the Meadowlands. Saturday, 1PM at Met Life both teams meet and the loser endangers their playoff chances with a loss since as both teams need two straight wins to guarantee a playoff spot aaaaaand it's kinda impossible for someone to not lose on Saturday.

The dude  the Jets need to worry about most is JPP (14 sacks!) because I don't think Sanchez is done with that rape kit from after seeing Jason Babin. I think it's gonna be crucial to keep the Giant's pass rush off balance by hitting the ground game and establishing the play action so Sanchez can get some movement and have time to expose the Giants secondary. This seems like a no brainer but they've had trouble this season doing this same thing consistently.

The Giants need to get Bradshaw a good nights rest and a juice box to get this run game revved up because I seriously don't know if Eli is gonna have his way with the secondary the way he usually does. The skins held Eli to zero touchdowns, three INT's and a rating of 45.5, and that was against Josh Wilson and Deangelo Hall. Revis and Cromartie? They won't go any easier on them.

Either way these are two teams with alot to lose, playing not only for hometown pride but for the right to continue their march towards post season glory because Bibi Jones doesn't suck off losers, ask Rob Gronkowski.
